Trippy prog-punk trio Wombo release new single 'Backflip' and announce new album Fairy Rust due out July 29th on Firetalk Records. Inspired by Brothers Grimm fairytales, the mixture of the absurd and the mundane is already audible from the two singles (check out the sinister dreamlike atmosphere of 'Below The House' ), the album is set to be a surreal trip swerving between genres and sounds, part angular post-punk, part psychedelic prog, all with an unnerving ever present sense of the uncanny lingering between the notes.
